In this Kafi, Shah Hussain has presented a contrast between the traditional faith of the Mullah,the Qazi and the worldly wise and that of true lovers who adopt the path of Love.

My heart is attached to the indifferent and carefree Groom who is the Lord of this world and the next world. The Qazi and the Mullah advise me and the wise show me the path of wisdom whereas Love has no concern with their path. Ranjha lives across the stream and I have made a promise to go and meet him. And I beg so and make repeated humble request to the boatman. Says Hussain Faqir,”We have to leave this world and die one day.Finally,we will have to be concerned with God.”
